Endorsement
This paper's position is that St. Augustine Beach has been taking more of its residents' money each year without getting better at anything, and the city's own ordinance is the evidence: a Fiscal Year 2027 budget adopted on a flat 2.5000 mills, which that ordinance records as 3 percent above the rolled-back rate. Mr. Dascomb is running to stop it, says so in his own words on his own site, and is the only candidate in this race who has put a tax position in writing anywhere this paper can read. His opponent was sent the same six questions at the same minute and whatever she sends will run in full.

The Visiting Side
A week seven game against Legacy of Port St. Lucie kicks at 6 tonight, three days after Beachside played Fletcher and four days before it plays Westside at home. It is not a district game. The one place a parent would look for the date, the school's own athletic calendar on FHSAA Home Campus, carries the game on Oct. 1 and carries nothing at all on Oct. 26.

Low Water
Plate readers put a white Audi near St. Johns Parkway minutes after a bank robbery on Oct. 16, and the car was found at 3:23 p.m. A person was in custody that afternoon. Take the whole claim as given, because the argument built on it still does not survive one step past itself: every objection the readers raise is answered better by a tracker on every car, which nobody has proposed, including the sheriff. The board is asked on Tuesday, and the suggested motion on the backup form is blank.
