The School Board sits down at 9 this morning with six topics on its workshop agenda and one page of packet behind all six. The one page is the agenda.
The six, as the agenda prints them: Student Progression Plan Updates, High School Connect, Professional Leadership Days for fall 2026, a CHARACTER COUNTS! update, a Health Services Plan, and a Dental MOU, which is a memorandum of understanding. Each topic carries a strategic plan label and nothing else. Nothing is published under any of them.
Nothing on today’s list carries a date, a dollar figure or a school name.
Here is what that means for your kid, as far as the record lets anyone say. The Student Progression Plan is the item with the widest reach on that list, and what the district wants to update in it, the packet does not say. A workshop takes no votes, so nothing changes today. If any of the six turns into a change, the vote would come at a regular meeting, and the next one is Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 4:30 p.m.
The meeting runs in the auditorium at 40 Orange Street and via Webex, with the link on the district’s meeting notice. If you want to be heard on any of it, the workshop has a public comment item, section D of the agenda.
The workshop is also the third meeting in a row headed for a gap in the written record. The district’s own minutes page ends at Sept. 22. Nothing newer is posted. The Oct. 6 workshop, the Oct. 13 regular meeting and the Oct. 27 workshop have no posted minutes, which means the votes the board took Oct. 13, on the controlled open enrollment plan and on a $329,860 Bartram Grove school mitigation agreement, priced in the packet at $1,833 per dwelling unit, are still published only as a video. Minutes are ordinarily approved at a later regular meeting, so the earliest a parent can read what the board did Oct. 13 is likely the Nov. 10 meeting’s consent paperwork.
Two more dates sit behind this one, and both are on your calendar already. Today is also election day, and the District 4 school board seat is on the ballot, Tammie McClafferty against Jillian Tozer. The polls on that race close at 7 tonight. The board’s reorganization meeting is two weeks out, Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 9 a.m.
